The City of Glenns Ferry maintains cemetery rules to ensure dignity, safety, and uniformity.

Burial in the City Cemetery requires:

Authorization from the Cemetery Clerk before the burial takes place.

Cemetery Fees (8-6-2)
The following fees are set by resolution of the City Council. No payment plans are available.

Markers & Monuments (8-6-3)
Families and plot owners are responsible for placing proper grave markers.
Requirements:
A flat marker or suitable monument must be placed at the head of each grave.
The deceased’s name must be plainly inscribed.
Markers cannot be taller than 3 feet (from ground to highest point).
Timeline:
Markers must be installed within 6 months of burial.
If no marker is installed, the City may install one at the expense of the plot owner.
Restrictions & Oversight:
The City Council reserves the right to refuse substandard or unusual markers.
Only City maintenance staff may plant trees or shrubs, unless prior approval is granted by the City Council.
