President’s Comments: Well, if you’re anything like me, you are still in shock that 2016 zipped by so fast and has taken its place in the amazing history of our little town. It is always such a joy to see everything lit up for the holidays. Congratulations to Tom & Julie Carpenter and Crossings Winery for winning the “Decorate the Town” contest. I can’t wait for the Chamber banquet and announcement of Citizen of the Year. Those are always so much fun! Call & get your tickets now.
I am honored to have been your Chamber President for a short time. Although it was a surprise, I learned a lot and discovered what a treasure we have in our citizens and some of our “Old Timers”. They really have seen it all and have a wisdom & determination that I truly admire. We could all use some lessons while they are still teaching.
I appreciate what David Payne accomplished while he was our President and I am looking forward to supporting Mike and the new Chamber Board this coming year. I hope you will join me in finding the time to volunteer and do what can be done to improve our community. Wishing you all a healthy, happy and prosperous 2017.
